Burn Psx Games

title says it all - how can i burn downloaded ps1 ISOs with a mac? i did this like 6 years ago on an old mac and i'm not sure how. i'm sure i used toast, but i'm not sure what the settings were. i tried burning a game last night on my old laptop (which is still newer than what i used to burn with) and it didn't work... i've been pulling my hair out googling and finding nothing. can someone tell me how to do this?

The only real difference is that the CD controller was reprogrammed so that it would identify any disc that had a data track as being 'licensed', rather than requiring the region code in the lead-in that was present on pressed PlayStation CDs. This was done to allow developers to burn games to CD-R for testing. Burn the CD-Image onto a CD-R. For now only CDRWIN can be used to patch PSX games. A free Demo version which writes at 1x speed is available at Goldenhawk.com. Burn at lowest speed your blank discs will allow (probably 10x). IMGBurn will warn you if it has to “overturn” because of size, but I don’t remember that ever happening to me with a PS1 game. The size discrepancy is due to how data is stored in an image as opposed to a physical disc. View Entire Discussion (1 Comments). The PS1 has a massive library and it’s hard to select the best PS1 games, but we’ve tried to highlight the best of the platform to reflect the diversity of experiences available on the console.

since i've figured out the answer to my own question, i thought i'd leave it here in case anyone needs to know... maybe even for my own future reference

i've yet to come across any ISO files, but i think the CCD method should work for those too.
